SAC approves creation of 8531 non-gazetted Inspectors, Sub Inspectors, Assistant Sub Inspectors posts in J&K police department
The decision is aimed at enhancing the promotional avenues of the non-gazetted cadres in the police department and address their stagnation,
Governor, Satya Pal Malik sanction creation of 8531 non-gazetted posts in the J&K police department in a phased manner, over a period of 3 years (2018-19 onwards).
As many as 2847 posts have been approved for creation in the financial year 2018-19. The posts include 122 positions of inspectors, 830 sub-inspectors, 838 assistant sub-inspectors and 1057 head constables.
As many as 2842 posts have been approved for creation in the financial year 2019-20. The positions include 120 posts of inspectors, 829 sub-inspectors, 836 assistant sub-inspectors and 1057 head constables.
Similarly, 2842 posts have been approved for creation in the financial year 2020-21. The posts comprise 120 of inspectors, 829 sub-inspectors, 836 assistant sub-inspectors and 1057 head constables, an official handout said.
