Eligible candidates are invited for Walk in Interview for the temporary posts of Lecturers/Teaching Assistants for the academic session 2019-20 to be engaged on contract basis as an academic temporary arrangement on a consolidated salary as per University norms for BBA (HM) in School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, University of Jammu.

QUALIFICATION :

i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. NET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Lecturers in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/ Institutions.

The candidates may report for Walk-in-Interview along with their original documents, experience certificates etc., one photocopy of self-attested documents, CV/Bio-data and two self attested passport size photographs. The schedule as be as follows

The death toll in the devastating earthquake that rattled Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and several cities in the country rose to 30 on Wednesday as authorities stepped up relief efforts.

The epicenter of the powerful 5.8-magnitude earthquake, which occurred at around 4 pm on Tuesday at a depth of only 10 kilometers, was near Mirpur city in the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), roughly 20 kilometers north of Jhelum in Punjab, according to the US Geological Survey.

The earthquake resurrected the haunting memories of a monster tremor that had wrecked the region 14 years ago.

Advertisement Notice for Engagement of Special Police Officers (SPOs) in J&K Police in District Poonch

In pursuance to above references, applications are hereby invited from the aspirant candidates of Distt Poonch for filing up of vacant posts of Special Police Officers (SPOs) in J&K Police in Distt Poonch by reserving 10% quota of the total available vacant positions in the District as operational reserves,

The eligibility conditions are as below:

I) Educational qualification

The candidates should have passed matriculation examination or equivalent from any Govt recognized the board by or before the last date of submission of the application form.

II) Age (as on January 1st-2019)

1. The candidates should not below 18 years and above 28 years in age (The candidate born before 01-01-1991 and after 31-12-2000 shall not be eligible).

i) Application as per proforma along with qualification/allied certificates submitted (WITHOUT ANY FEE) in Distt Police Office Poonch (i.e. SSP Office) w.e.f. 26th of September-2019 from 10:00 hours to 17:00 hours (except Sunday/holiday) and last date of submission of application form shall be 05-10-2019.

ii) There is no fees/charge of submission of application form for the engagement of SPOs.

iii) Applicants are advised to submit attested photo copy of eligibility certificate and bring along with the original documents for verification at the time of submission of application form.

iv) Colour photographs 04 copies (self-attested) be attached with application form.

v) Tehsil wise physical measurement and physical endurance test (PET) of eligible candidates shall be intimated separately.

Note :

Incomplete application forms in any manner or not filled up properly shall be rejected.

The engagement is purely on temporarily basis and this shall have no claim for permanent Absorption/continuous engagement.

Indiscipline of any kind including absence from duty shall tender the engagement as nullified without any notice.

Authority competent shall reserve the right to terminate the engagement at any time without notice.

Their service can be utilized in any part of the state.

Confirmed LIC employees on appointment as Assistant shall be eligible for fixation of pay as per existing rules of the Corporation.

Army to conduct recruitment for 2780 vacancies in JAK LI regiment (Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry). Commandant, JAK LI Recruitment centre Srinagar says “ARO (Army Recruiting Office) Jammu, ARO Srinagar &J AK LI regimental center will conduct rallies to select recruits”.

Commandant, JAK LI Recruitment centre Srinagar :

At JAK LI regimental center the Unit Headquarters Quota – UHQ Quota. recruit rally will be conducted. Individuals who are blood relations of ex-servicemen & serving soldiers are eligible for the rally.

It’s scheduled on 3-4 Oct.(17.9)

SSC Important notification for candidates of J&K, Ladakh appearing various exams

SSC J&K Important Notification: Attention  Candidates of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh who are to appear in any of the following 04 Examinations which are to be conducted by the Commission in the month of September, 2019, i.e.

(i) Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contract) (Paper-I) Examination-2018,

(ii) Multi Tasking (NT) Staff (Paper-I) Examination-2018 (remaining candidates of Srinagar centre),

(iii) Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level (Tier-ii) Examination-2018, and

(iv) SI’s in Delhi Police, CAPFs and ASIs in CISF (Paper-II) Examination-2018.

May kindly note that the Staff Selection Commission shall upload the Admit Cards /Admission Certificates of candidates of the above mentioned examinations on the website of the North Western Region of the Commission, i e, www.sscnwr.org

The candidates are advised to download their Admit Cards/ Admission Certificates from the website of the Sub-Regional Office of the Commission.

Ex-CM Farooq Abdullah detained under stringent PSA

Ex-CM Farooq Abdullah detained under stringent PSA

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has now been detained under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA), which enables authorities to detain any individual for two years without trial, sources said on Monday.

The 81-year-old patron of the National Conference has been under house arrest since August 5 when the Centre announced abrogation of the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 and bifurcation of the state into Union territories.

Abdullah has been detained under the PSA, official sources said. The tougher law was slapped on Abdullah on Sunday.

On Monday, the Supreme Court has asked the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir administration to respond to a plea seeking that the former chief minister be produced before a court.

The petition was filed by Tamil Nadu’s MDMK leader Vaiko, seeking Abdullah’s release so he could attend an event in Chennai.

Vaiko is said to be a close friend of Abdullah for four decades.

Abdullah’s son and former chief minister Omar Abdullah and another former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti are also under detention since August 5
