No test for 11th class students, marks to be awarded on proportionate basis: Govt

Srinagar: After remaining closed for over more than 10 months, the Jammu and Kashmir have decided to re-open schools as per the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

In an order copy which lies with Kashmir Despatch reads, “It is hereby ordered that all Government Educational Institutions including recognised Private Schools shall physically be opened in a staggered manner for academic activities as per the schedule”.

The schools in summer zone areas of Jammu Division for Class 9th to 12 will start from 1 st February 2021. In case of elementary classes, teachers shall attend from 1st February 2021 for preparation & students shall physically attend classes from 8th’ February 2021.

Whereas, Kashmir Division & Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division will open as per their schedule. Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) shall be followed in letter & spirit in addition to suggestions of District Disaster Management Authorities
