Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the engagement as Special Public Prosecutors (SPPs) to represent the Income Tax Department before the Session Court and its Subordinate Courts in Jammu & Kashmir in prosecution cases.

Eligibility: Practicing Advocates enrolled as members of the State Bar Council and have good academic credentials and experience in criminal matters

Preference would be given to advocates having experience in dealing with Income Tax/Direct Tax matters.

The eligibility terms and conditions and schedule of fees payable to the SPPs are as per instructions No. 6 issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Finance and can be downloaded from the website www.incometaxindia. gov, in under the head “Misc communication” or may be collected from Sh. Shikhar Sukheja, ITO (Hq)(Admn.), O/o Pr. CIT, Srinagar, Room No. 113, 1st floor, Aayakar Bhawan, “The Chinars”, Rajbagh Srinagar on any working day, during office hours.
