Cancelled JKSSB exams to be held in November: LG Manoj Sinha

“All the cancelled exams will now be held afresh in November.” He said that all three exams cancelled will be held in November.

Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that exams conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) that were cancelled will be held afresh in November and that the selection will purely be based on merit.

Addressing a function at SKICC, Sinha said those days are gone when jobs were sold on roads and streets of Kashmir and Jammu. “We cancelled the exams conducted by the JKSSB after allegations of irregularities and ordered a CBI inquiry. Some arrests were made and more are likely to be made,” he said.

“All the cancelled exams will now be held afresh in November.” He said that all three exams cancelled will be held in November.

“Now only merit will speak,” the LG Sinha said, adding that in the past three years, 30,000 youth got jobs.

He said, there is no denying the fact that every one can’t get a government job and that’s why the administration started self-employment schemes. “In the past three years, over 5 lakh youth were provided a chance of self-employment,” he said.

He said that the government is conducting the B2V programs under mission youth and providing a chance to 20 youth in every program to learn the skill development. The LG said that J&K is witnessing a change and every individual has to play a part. He said that some people who ruined the lives of thousands of people in J&K in the past 30 years never saw their own children suffer in any way.

Peace is a must for development. People have to support the government in establishing peace. Security Forces can’t do it alone,” he said. He said some people try to disrupt the peace by killing innocent people to give the impression that whatever was happening in the past 30 years was the way forward. “Let me put it on record violence leads to nowhere. Kashmir is changing and tourists are coming in large numbers while a record number of flights are flying from both Kashmir and Jammu airports,” he said.

He said anti-peace elements always try to destabilise peace by killing innocents and some try to do it by “making unjustified statements” which leads to disruption of the peaceful atmosphere. “Law will take strict action against those making statements that vitiate peaceful atmosphere,” he said.

Cancelled JKPSC exams to be conducted afresh in November: LG Manoj Sinha

Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Sunday said that recently cancelled exams conducted by the Public Service Commission will be now held afresh in the month of November and the merit won’t be compromised.

“The exams were cancelled after allegations of irregularities and the government also ordered a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the selection process,” the LG said while addressing a function at SKICC Srinagar.

“All three exams cancelled will be held in November now,” he said, adding that 30,000 youth in Jammu and Kashmir got jobs in past three years while 5 lakh youth were provided a chance of self-employment,” he added.

He further said that the Govt assures all aspirants that culprits will not be spared and there won’t be any compromise on merit either.

“We will have to be alert as some elements are trying to disturb peaceful atmosphere. We will have to keep an eye on them and deal with them strictly,” he added.(KNS)

T20 World Cup 2022: How can Pakistan still qualify for semi-finals?

Pakistan suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Zimbabwe on Thursday in Perth. Pakistan’s future in the tournament mainly depends on how their arch-rivals India and South Africa play the remaining of their matches.

Zimbabwe outplayed the former T20 World Champions Pakistan in their group-stage encounter of the T20 World Cup 2022 on Thursday, October 27. With this, Pakistan has now lost two of their matches in the tournament as they had earlier suffered a loss against the arch-rivals India.

Pak are placed second last on the points table above the Netherlands as they have a better net run rate as compared to the Dutch side, but will they still be able to qualify for the semi-finals?

Pakistan need to win the rest of the games and hope some other results go in their favour.

First things first, Pakistan need to win their remaining games by handsome margins. They are slated to take on the Netherlands next in the upcoming Super 12 encounter followed by encounters against South Africa and then their last game against Bangladesh. Hence, they will earn six points on the points table if they win all three upcoming games

After winning all their games, Pak will hope that the top two teams in their group which are currently India and South Africa, stay on six points or below with the final standings to be calculated through NRR.

The Asian side will look to win the rest of the games by big margins to improve their net run rate. Pakistan’s future in the tournament mainly depends on how their arch-rivals India and South Africa play the remaining of their matches in the competition.

The problem for the Babar Azam-led side is that they not only need to win all their remaining matches but they need to win them by big margins to keep a healthy net run rate. In today’s game, their bowlers had set the stage for them by restricting Zimbabwe to just 130 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. But the batters let the team down and failed to take the side over the line

The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council-Kargil Subordinate Service Recruitment Board invites online applications from eligible candidates for participation in the selection process for District Cadre posts shown in Annexure to this notification.

1. Appointment of the candidates

i) The appointment and other service conditions in respect of the candidate selected through this selection process shall be governed by the service conditions as mentioned in the Service Recruitment Rule of the concerned departments.

a) The candidates who have not registered earlier on the portal are first required to go to the said portal and register themselves by clicking on the “New User Registration” link.

b) Candidates are required to have a valid Email ID and Mobile Phone Number for registering and creating login credentials. The same shall be validated by using an OTP (One Time Password) based verification.

After creating login credentials, candidates need to log in with these credentials and the password created by clicking on “Login”.

The candidate is required to upload the images of recent photograph (passport size) and signature.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established by Ministry of Education. Government of India an independent/autonomous. self-reliant and self-sustained premier testing organization.

NTA will be conducting the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)-2023 for admission to Class VI and Class IX in 33 Sainik Schools across the country, for the academic year 2023-24. Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE. They prepare cadets to join the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy and other Training Academies, for Officers.

4290 youth clubs established across J&K: Government

The clubs established in 2021 aim to offer the youth of J&K an opportunity to become change-makers and around 4290 clubs had been formed.

The J&K government has conceived a pioneering initiative of youth clubs to engage and empower youth as partners in governance under the aegis of Mission Youth, an official spokesman said here Tuesday.

According to the official spokesman, the clubs established in 2021 aim to offer the youth of J&K an opportunity to become change-makers and around 4290 clubs had been formed.

The volunteers in youth clubs are trained to work through real challenges and make meaningful changes.

These volunteers develop a civic identity as leaders and change-makers and become socially more socially active.

The volunteers in these clubs are being trained in all aspects of government schemes and are part of emergency and crisis management plans and subsequently involved in planning and decision-making. The clubs serve as the focal point for positive engagement of the youth and endeavour to strive that they do not fall for radical propaganda and other social issues that trouble our youth.

Rs 7.25 crore has been provided as grant-in-aid for specified activities of the youth clubs in the last financial year and Youth Engagement programs have been convened in all districts through these youth clubs and more than 2 lakh youth have been associated with the program.

Aqib, a youth volunteer from Pulwama, said that they were always feeling alienated from the system but after joining the youth club were feeling part of the system and governance.

He said they were supporting the government in the drug de-addiction campaign in every Panchayat of the district.

“We will make Pulwama a drug-free district within the next few months,” he said.

In Poonch district, the youth volunteers feel jubilant about their participation in the socio-economic expansion of their district.

“The process of developmental planning and governance apparatus was never as much participatory as made by this novel initiative of the government,” said Rameez of Poonch. “Our youth volunteers organized scores of community-oriented activities during last year. We were able to plant more than 30000 saplings including Chinars in the district in a single go.”

Similarly in Budgam district, youth volunteers are participating actively in every welfare programme of the government. The mega COVID vaccination and de-worming programme in the district were organized by youth volunteers in collaboration with the health authorities.

“We ensured to reach every child of every household in every panchayat,” said Mehjabeen, one of the lead members of the youth volunteer programme. (GK)
