Jammu, DG Prisons HK Lohia found dead in home

Jammu Director General Prisons H K Lohia has been found dead in the house of Udaywala located in Jammu according to reports.

According to initial reports police went to a home in Udaywala to discover Lohia’s deceased body. They then began an investigation.

Lohia, an IPS officer from the batch 1992 was appointed DG Prisons in August this year.

The local news agency stated that the first investigation of the scene of the crime showed it as a possible murder.

As per the report, the domestic help along with the officer has disappeared and a hunt for him began.

The media quoted Mukesh Singh, the Additional Director General for Police, Jammu, saying, “the Jammu and Kashmir police family express grief and deep sorrow over the death of their senior officer.”
