Another horrific accident has taken place on Jammu-Pathankot National highway in Jatwal area of Samba in Jammu on Thursday.
As per report, a speeding truck heading towards Jammu from Samba rammed into a divider on the Jammu-Pathankot National highway. The mishap’s impact was such that the divider penetrated the truck shattered it badly and critically injured its driver.
After the mishap, the locals and police evacuated the driver and rushed him to Samba hospital for treatment
It has been said that his legs has sustained fractures due to the accident, the report said.
Though the exact causes of the crash are not clear, however the graph of road mishaps is increasing with each day passing in Jammu.

Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) is, was and will remain a part of India and the Pakistan government will achieve nothing by repeatedly claiming PoK, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said in Jammu on Monday.
He emphasized that illegal occupation of the PoK does not make locus standi of Pakistan. “A unanimous resolution has been passed in the Parliament of India regarding PoK that it is a part of India only. Not one but at least three proposals of this intention have now been passed in the Parliament,” Singh said.
Defence Minister was addressing a “security conclave” organized at Jammu University on internal and external dimensions of the country’s defence mechanism, with a particular focus on J-K.
“A large part of Jammu and Kashmir is under the occupation of Pakistan. People on other side are seeing that people are living their lives peacefully in J-K. People living in POK going through a lot of suffering and they will raise demand to go with India,” Singh said.
Speaking on the abrogation of Article 370 in J-K, he said that BJP abrogated the article and did justice to the people of Jammu and Kashmir who were been unfairly treated for decades.
“Because of Article 370 and 35A, the common people of Jammu and Kashmir were kept away from the mainstream of the country for a long time, it was a hindrance in taking action against any anti-national force,” he said.
He further said that the general public is happy with the decision of abrogation of Article 370. “The trouble is only for those whose shop of hatred and separatism is getting closed,” Singh said.
“We have managed to stop the funding of terrorism, stopped the supply of weapons and drugs and along with the elimination of terrorists, the work of dismantling the network of underground workers working here is also going on,” he added.
He further said that the Joint Statement issued by Prime Minister Modi with US President Joe Biden has made it clear that India has changed the mindset of the whole world including America on the issue of terrorism.
“The countries that use terrorism as a state policy have to understand very well that this game is not going to last long, today most of the big countries of the world are united against terrorism,” he said.
The minister also said that despite “perception differences” with China, there are some agreements and protocols following which the armies of both countries patrol at borders. “Our other neighbour country is China. Even with China, many times there are differences on some issues. It is true that there is a perception difference regarding the border with China for a long time. Despite this, there are some agreements and protocols following which the armies of both countries patrol at borders. These agreements were made in the time of Narasimhrao ji, Atalji and in the time of Dr Manmohan Singh ji on the basis of the consent of both the countries,” he said.
He also said that the dispute in East Ladakh in 2020 arose because Chinese forces ignored the “agreed protocols”.
“The reason for the dispute that arose in East Ladakh in the year 2020 was that the Chinese forces ignored the Agreed Protocols. Chinese Army PLA tried to make some changes on LAC in a unilateral manner which was thwarted by Indian troops,” he added.
Singh further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government started effective action against terrorism and for the first time not only the country but the world came to know what is the meaning of Zero Tolerance against Terrorism.
“AFSPA has been removed from large parts of North East as we have successfully controlled the problem of insurgency in North East India. I am waiting for the day when there will be Permanent Peace in J-K and there will be a chance to remove AFSPA from here too,” he said.

A Selection Grade Constable (SgCt) of J&K police on Wednesday has been honoured and awarded for displaying bravery in Samba area of Jammu. He was honored in presence of several senior officers including SSP Samba Benam Tosh and Addl. SP Surinder Choudhary.
The report said that the Selection Grade Constable (SgCt) Kamal Kishore, who is currently serving Samba police, is awarded cash prize and commendation letter by Samba police for arresting Punjab based criminals at a naka point in Rangoor camp area of Samba, who were fleeing after opening fire at locals there and injured two of the natives.
On receiving information about the absconding smugglers Constable Kamal Kishore who was deployed at one of the naka points in Rangoor camp in Samba recently showing alertness sheer determination and bravery nabbed the accused persons.
It is said that Heroin of worth Rs 14 crores and costly mobiles were also recovered from the possession of the arrested smugglers.
Admiring Mr Kamal Kishore’s act during the event SSP Samba Benam Tosh said that being punctual, dedicated towards his duty when Mr Kamal Kishore got a chance he jeopardise his life and caught the smugglers, he didn’t even gave them a single chance to use their weapons.
Tosh has also apprised and recommended Police headquarter Samba to gave another award to Constable Kishore there.
SSP Samba has encouraged the Samba police personnel that they will be re-awarded handsomely if they display bravery in apprehending criminals.

weather, Power
Development Department
(PDD) has announced that
there will be no power curtailment in Jammu city
from June 20 onwards while
power cuts in rural and
unmetered areas will be
restricted below six hours.
According to an official
communiqué in this regard,
the decision has been taken in
view of improvement in
power supply situation from
Baghlihar and increased
power allocation from
Government of India.
However, sources said,
there is still a shortfall of at
least 300 MW power
between the demand and supply in Jammu region and
hence the rural areas as well
as the towns, including all the
District headquarters except
Jammu, will continue to face
shutdowns.
Pertinent to mention that
Jammu city was being sub
jected to shutdowns of
around two hours duration
per day despite installation of
smart meters while in the
unmetered rural areas, the
curtailment was being
enforced for duration of at
least six to eight hours in a
day.
Chief Engineer PDD,
Sandeep Seth told the
Excelsior that there would be
zero curtailment in Jammu
city from June 20 onwards
while duration of power shutdowns would be restricted to

installed, but in Jammu city where

completed, people were still being
subjected to power shutdown.
Sources explained that by
deciding zero curtailment in
metered area of Jammu city, the
Government has intended to
encourage people in getting the
smart meters installed in their
respective areas also.
Meanwhile, pointing towards
subsidized power tariff and
advance payment to gencos
(power generating companies),
PDD spokesperson has appealed
the general public to use power
judiciously and pay their electricity bills in time enabling JKPDD to
ensure smooth power supply to
consumers during these peak summer days

A horrible road accident has occurred in which dozens of people suffered wounds late night in Chan Samotra area of Ghagwal in Samba.
According to the report, the mishap happened when a bus carrying 40-45 labourers to Kashmir working in a brick kiln loosing control fell into a canal in Chan Samotra of Samba’s Ghagwal, following which 25 passengers sustained injuries.
After the mishap the locals and police began a rescue operation and rushed the injured to Trauma Centre Ghagwal, from there six people in which two pregnant woman referred to GMC Jammu and four were referred to District Hospital Samba.
However, the rest wounded 19 labourers are being treated at Trauma Centre Ghagwal, Samba

A bizarre video has been going viral on social media and spreading like inferno after a vehicle was seen stuck mid-air in Jammu’s Greater Kailash area since yesterday, the video of the incident has since shocked eyeballs and got amazing attention in Jammu and all over India.
As per report, the incident happened when strong winds which metamorphosed into a storm hit Jammu city yesterday, due to which many establishment and things got blown away which came in its way, but astoundingly in midst of all this a scooty was seen suspended precariously in mid-air tangled in wires due to strong storm in Greater Kailash area of Jammu, which was parked near Planet Beauty Saloon there.
Pertinent to mention is that the storm was that strong that it uplifted the scooty in mid-air, which was later brought down by the aid of a crane.
Storms have brought heavy rain, lightning, gusty winds leaving a trail of mild destruction in its wake in Jammu.
“Regularly I used to come to Saloon and park my scooty here, the storm was going on and electric wires were hanging from above, which tangled the vehicle in it and lift it in mid-air” said, Sana, owner of the scooty.
“The storm was strong vehicles got pushed away and the scooty got suspended above in the air”, another girl said, who was standing besides Sana.
“I work in this Saloon and I park my scooty regularly here but these dangling wire coiled my vehicle and took it above”, Sana added.
“The scooty got tangled in the wire and got uplifted. There are no casualties”, a local man said
